PAML 2012 in planning

The Peter Allen Memorial Lectures ran throughout May 2011 and we are planning this year, 2012, event at present.  The talks will again be each Saturday in May (5th, 12th, 19th and 26th) but might start a little earlier at 10.30am allowing the talks to finish before lunchtime.  More details to follow as the programme is finalised.

The 2011 event was supported by Business Training Solutions, Thatcham Vision, Newbury Building Society, Tesco, DevZen, Thatcham Family Bookshop, and several others.  We raised just under £400 for the British Heart Foundation and pulled in over 60 people at each event.  The event is organised by a sub-committee of Thatcham Historical Society and includes local historians Bill Butler (Barfield Handbell Ringers) and  Graeme Stewart (Thatcham and District Philatelic Society).

We would like to thank all of those who have wupported us and donated over the last two years.  We do however need to raise funds to help pay for the running of the event for this year and future years. We have to pay for room hire, speaker fees, although many do the talks for free, equipment hire, etc. Please do contact us if you would like to sponsor/support us.
