Dr Nick Young

Dr Nick Young is an enthusiastic historian.  Besides a deep love of history he has many interests and skills including being a keen photographer, programmer, website developer and researcher.  Nick is involved with many local organisations in Thatcham Historical Society and Thatcham Vision.

Nick has been a member of Thatcham Historical Society for over 10 years, in which time he has instigated a regular newsletter, a journal and a new and regularly updated website to mention a few. Nick has many publications under his belt, but perhaps the one that has seen the most publicity and the one he is most proud of is "Thatcham: an historic town in a changing world"  which he worked with Sue Broughton, Tony Higgott, and the late Peter Allen to produce.
