Sue Broughton

Sue Broughton is an enthusiastic amateur historian and archaeologist, who has been a member of the Thatcham Historical Society for some 10 years, and has lived in Thatcham for nearly 30 years. Her interests range from genealogy, through an interest in the history of the Napoleonic Wars, the reign of Richard III, and Saxon Britain, to a fascination with the archaeology of standing buildings and the wealth of vernacular architecture in the Berkshire area. In what little spare time she has she also collects dollshouses and helps run Kennet Miniaturists, dances with Kintbury Morris, of which she is the Squire, and gets involved in helping with local history projects such as the recent publication "Thatcham: An historic town in a changing world."
